Bridgestone is again the official tire of IRGP3
For this third consecutive year, Philippine Allied Enterprise will be the official control tire for “The Third MOTOLITE InsideRACING Grand Prix” (IRGP3), an annual GP-style race event sanctioned by NAMSSA for underbone motorcycle road racing that will take place on November 21-22 at the Carmona Race Track in Cavite.
Bridgestone Battlax BT-39SS will once again be the spec-tire for all the hotly contested underbone classes. As proven in last year’s event, the one tire rule ensured equality among participants as they were all on the same tire. Furthermore, the cost of participation by the participants was brought down due to Bridgestone’s support to the racers.
The Bridgestone Battlax BT-39SS tire proved its exceptional grip, performance and durability when it was used by all the teams who competed in the IRGP1 and IRGP2. It was developed for production racing in the underbone class in 2007 and it since its debut in the IRGP it now regularly used by most local racers. For IRGP3,expect the lap record to go down as Bridgestone has decide to supply a full race rear tire for the Gulf Oil Pride 4T Masters class.
For 2009, the premiere MotoGP World Championships has adopted Bridgestone as the tire partner to supply tires to all riders from all the factory teams from Yamaha, Ducati , Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki.
Denso Spark Plug Automatic Grand Prix
DENSO SPARK PLUG is proud to be the class sponsor for the fastest growing race class in “The Third Motolite InsideRACING Grand Prix” (IRGP3), an annual GP-style race event sanctioned by NAMSSA for underbone motorcycle road racing that will take place on November 21-22 at the Carmona Race Track in Cavite.
The Denso Spark Plug Automatic Grand Prix will be contested by Beginner, Novice and Expert riders. Using the fastest scooter or automatic models from participating manufacturer and teams up to 180cc with Open modifications, this race class is designed to cater to the fastest automatic riders of the land.
After making its debut last year’s event, this class is now one of the most anticipated part of the GP and the number of entries for this years race has almost doubled proving that automatic motorcycles are gaining popularity again. This year, major factory teams as well as top privateers are gunning for automatic glory.
Denso is a world leader in Spark Plug Technology. It is best known for its Iridium spark plugs and U-groove technology. Its performance, reliability and durability has been proven by race results and trusted in GP racing. It currently supports LCR Team Honda in the MotoGP circuit with rider Randy De Puniet.

Castrol Power1 115 Grand Prix and Castrol Power1 130 Grand Prix
Castrol Philippines is again proud to be the class title sponsors for the two GP race classes in “The third Annual Motolite InsideRACING Grand Prix” (IRGP3), an annual GP-style race event for underbone motorcycle road racing using Bridgestone tires that will take place on November 21-11 at the Carmona Race Track in Cavite.
The Castrol Power1 115 Grand Prix will be contested by Novice and Expert riders currently competing at the highest level in local racing. The motorcycles used will be based on models sold in the largest segment of the local market, the 100-115cc. They are allowed up to 115cc displacement with Open modifications based on IRGP rules. This is the most hotly contested class where almost all manufacturers have an entry.
The Castrol Power1 130 Grand Prix will be contested by Novice and Expert riders currently competing at the highest level in local racing. Using motorcycles modified up to 130cc displacement and Open machine modifications based on IRGP rules, it will be the most competitive racing class in IRGP where the top riders and teams will compete fielded by most of participating manufacturers.
Castrol is celebrating its 50 years of racing in partnership with Honda. Castrol has been active in both World Grand Prix and World Superbike road racing as well as in the World Motocross Grand Prix. The roster of world champions include Jim Redman,Luigi Taveri, Mike Hailwood, Dave Thorpe Joey Dunlop, Freddie Spencer, Luca Cadalora, Max Biaggi and Toni Mang.
Castrol reclaimed the 2007 World Superbike Championship in 2007 with rider James Toseland aboard a Ten Kate Honda. Castrol also previously won the crown in 1997 with John Kocinski and in 2000 and 2002 with Colin Edwards. Last year, Castrol also successfully defended the World Supersport Championship with Ten Kate rider Andrew Pitt. It was the seventh consecutive World Supersport title for Castrol and Honda.
