ust asking and hope get anwer from the expert here.

What is the bad consequences on having aftermarket cdi installed in our bike without changing the other part of the engine Ie: Racing cam /Valve Spring and bigger block.

Some says that it would harm engine which could not accept accelerator/top speed made by the aftermarket cdi......my friend who installed the brt Adjustable I-Max cdi encounter problem with his engine after 2 month using those cdi .

TQ in advance for your help...

medangmru, if the firing angle advancement is too huge, it may cause knocking at low rpm, thus harming the engine.

HELP NEEDED:
I am wondering if TPS is still working after using BRT dual band CDI. The diagnostic light seems to blink away real fast when I turn on the electric.

Besides this, for dual band CDI, it says the difference between band I and band II is 2 degree. Let's say I set to 35 degree, when the switch is OFF, it is 33 degree, and when i turn ON, it is 35 degree?

That where if you are using the programable CDI not to adjust to advance to gain pick up. It will harm the engine as is you are still using all parts

After 2 1/2 months using cdi BRT I-Max...i was twice accelerate my LC to the speed of 165km/h while in gear 3 ....using the sprocket combination of 38-16 (415H ) 8) .....i quite afraid it will harm my engine ...but i tried it twice just for testing purpose as using this cdi ..no rev limiter or cut off...

hi

im using BRT Smart i cdi. its rpm is adjustable up to 16,000. there's also an adjustable panel indicting the temperature (degrees centegrade) although i don't know how to adjust it. it is really excellent...almost no limiter at all.

second gear could reach 90kph.i just don't really know the proper adjustment..ill show some clip next tym.i think if it is properly udjusted it could probably run faster on hte road.

thanks

Depends on your modification specifications bro..
For standard Carb it is better you use Rextor..
And if you want it to go faster than stock..
You have to switch to another exhaust..
For hi budget modifiers I suggest you use yoshimura..
But if low budget get yourself Nob1 SSS..
Nob1 sss exhaust imitates the standard sound of T135..
For the prices exhaust is RM170 and above, Rextor Cdi Rm450..
If Brt around RM250 from a sale person called Tapau in Kom135.com..
Well Rextor more worthy than Brt actually..
Depends on the rider..
More power means you need to master your control..

And before I forgot..
Does anyone know how to set up the BTDC on certain CDI's..
I'm having a huge confusion about this BTDC thing..
Well I am sharing my opinion in modifying The T135 Lc..
Main thing to be consider is fuel, air and ignition..
Exhaust system and transmission drives..
As well as weight of rider and radius of tyres..
Am I right??
