Engine brake: Is it Good or Not?

Guys, I would like to ask if using engine brake is good or bad for the engine. I am usually using engine brake when stopping and applying only a little bit of front/rear brake. So, engine braking, is it good or not?

i am not expert but i always use engine brake both in car and bike... much safer than gliding to stop

on some occassion i engine break even when RPM is still within 7,000~8,000so that it will not lose the power when entering or exiting curve
