yes sir... converting stator driven to battery driven is advisable for those who want to change their stock bulb to LED specially to park light and turn signal light. if you install led lights to your "stock" wiring/electrical (not converted) it will busted all led lights in the long run because it cannot handle the voltage came out from the stator... hope it helps...
Normally once you've converted your headlight of battery operated, it will make your auxiliary lights to be battery operated also..
But it's in you if you want your headlight alone to be battery operated, you will just need to put a relay to separate the rectifier/stator source (Yellow-red wire) to your battery source (Brown or Red).. Just analyze the circuit before doing it so that you will not encounter trouble..

This will make all of your headlight and auxiliary lights to be battery operated.. See the post of Sir @thon.. Thanks for his share..

No relay is needed.. Just make sure and be very careful that you tap the proper cable..
You must cut the Yellow-Red Wire (normally located at the headlight).. When done, take the cable that is going to your headlight switch and tap it to the any brown wire nearby.. then properly seal with electrical tape the remaing half of the yellow-red cable that is going to the magneto/stator to avoid electrocution..
paps tanung ko lang po kung parehas lang ng harness ang sniper at x1r? nagconvert po kasi ako ng sniper to x1r at pinalitan ng buong wiring.. balak ko po sana gawing battery driven ang headlight at parklight ko? thanks po..

I install the rtd-LED and converted my headlight and parklight to battery operated the way you have said unfortunately all my LED peanut bulb (parklight) was busted "kaboom"..Bakit kaya? pati yung LED backlight ng panel..
hindi paps eh..pero nung rekta ko xa sa battery positive and negative ok nmn sila eh..pero nung nilagay ko na sa socket nila..ayun wala na kaboom..pero yung orig/stock peanut bulb wala nmn prob kaya yun muna gamit ko ngyon stock peanut bulb..
recheck mo yung wiring mo paps baka nakatap ka pa rin sa Y/R wire, at palaging echeck mo yung voltage para iwas sunog sa LED...
