Removing the counter weight/ flywheel/ balancer or however you may call it, will sure have an excellent effect on the bike's bottom end to mid range performance if you're willing to sacrfice the reliabilty of your engine especially if you take racing as your first priority... But I cannot stress enough the effect on top end as it is easily affected since the inertia is lacking forward motion force to maintain and keep the bike from achieving it's top hence top end suffers but can be countered by sprocket combi... I'll tell you, in the long run you might feel the bad effect or the downide of this mod as an imbalance engine will, slowly but surely takes its toll on your crank left and right side affecting the connecting pin, transferring the stress on the rod and eventually a change of crankshaft assy... The magnet and the idle gear was evenly balanced to the counter-weight when it was installed originally... Hope you get the point dude... If someone has any comments, questions or violent reactions, please, feel free to shoot me an email and I'd be more than glad to answer you brothers...
