Security

Guys, i know many people don't believe in alarms and such on bikes, but for those who do,,,,,,, what do you recommend?

What's the best way of
1.) stopping the thief in the first place
2.) if they get it, is there any systems that track via GPS or something available?
3.) or should i just purchase a big vicious dog and chain him to the bike,,,,:D

Hi there sir... the best security you can ever get is not to leave your bike or park it everywhere. Park it where there are security guards dedicated to look into our underbones. For extra security chain lock front wheel.;)

Thanks, the issue is there are times/places where you dont have security guards but you still need to get off the bike and lock it up. Dragging around a chain isn't very convenient since there's no place to carry it (underseat area is too small). Thanks for the advice Sir.

One thing that will actually fit under the seat is a small PADLOCK that we can insert on one of the hole on our disk brake. I know its not enough but will make a thief think twice...nway no security measure is good enough for a DETERMINED THIEF;);););)

I know where your coming from on the determined thief thing,,,, but there's got to be a better way to either stop the theft or get it back easily (before bike is stripped down,

I always bring either a u bag or a givi box that is why I don`t mind bringing chain & lock... GPS is good but the next thing you know when you located your bike it`s already been chopped. I agree with the above seeing the locks will make the thief think twice.

Getting a bag for the bike soon but dont want to do the GIVI box on the sniper. I agree with you on the "deterrent" to make them think twice but I want something that I can rely on and not just "hope" it was enough to scare them away.

Things you need to consider

Chain lock -
pros : if you park on an open/close area, you are lucky if the parking area has a steel tubebar for bike where you can lock your bike(dunno what they called it)
cons : if the thief have close van truck and no steel bar on the parking where you can chain lock your bike

disck lock with sound alarm -
pros : this is good specially if you can buy the good one, the problem is..
cons : you need to replace the battery

GPS -
pros : additional safety for tracking your bike
cons : if the thief cut your wire :D

Pad lock -
pros : for center stand
cons : same as if thief has a truck :D

solcar/option 1 - ignition key
pros : so that your bike have different settings of key
cons : if thief cut the wire then will direct the connection :D

cut off engine :
pros : you can install cut off engine then hide it
cons : if you forgot you have this one and try to push start and kick your bike :D

the best option that I want is this :

"3.) or should i just purchase a big vicious dog and chain him to the bike,,,,:D "

pros : so hard to steal the bike
cons : DOG FOOD, Vaccination, grooming etc etc ..hahaha

again : NOSE BLEED but happy to practice my english carabao hehehe

Sir, your English Carabao is fine, better than me trying to write in Tagalog :p. Great breakdown too as to pro's/cons. So after reading this the dog is the best route. Just dont feed him or vaccinate him so he mean and dangerous :D
