white smoke comes out at 3/4 to full throttle

Good day!

I would like to ask for your help mga sirs. My odo reads 2.6k and I switched to Denso Iridium plugs right after oil change. Now I am getting little white smoke at 3/4 to full throttle. the old plug has a bit rich a/f mixture sa i have to adjust the carb settings. I adjust my carb by setting the idle a bit higher that nusual then close the air adjustment. When I open the air knob, i set it to the point that i get the highest idle point but I am still getting a little white smoke at 3/4 to full throttle.

What could have caused this problem? And how do I fix it? Thanks!

check your piston rings and valve seals, white smoke means the oil got to your combustion chamber.

i got the same problem last february,

my piston ring's fried, almost 2mm clearance.

oh man..how much did it cost you to get it fixed? and what's your odo reading during that time sir?

almost 3k, piston and rings, + labor. i think i have 12k+ odo reading

valve seals..ranges from 80-180 pesos depending on shop...

to TS-tono lng yan pre..stock pa ba engine mu...?mostly kasi pag nag palit ka agad ng iridium tataas ang minor mu...at lalakas ang sunog ng sp mu...thats y may white smoke,gayan din aku dati(nung bago pa motor ku)....birit mu lang cia every morning...mga 5-10sec...pag hnd pa din cia nawala...posible na sa head na ung prob nyan...

@ryioki: ganun ba sir?! sige..minimal lang naman ung white smoke kapag umaabot sa high rev..tono mode ako mamaya..all stock po mc koh..ayoko pa magalaw..mahal na rin kasi gaso ngayon at masaya pa naman ako sa lakas niya ng stock siya..

@traxxas: pano nga kaya un kung blue smoke??hehehe..

my yamaha mech said...
if black smoke..carb setting need to readjust..
white smoke...probably worst case..piston ring..if not,just valve seal...
if blue smoke...than u need to replace your topset to new one...

it's kinda hard to see the bluish smoke sometimes though..

i found out what the problem is..my air mixture was lean and it caused my bike to be suppressed of power.thus causing minimal white smoke..after tuning it yesterday, no more white smoke came out..Thanks guys! Ride safe!!
