Top speed anyone?

Well, this thread is made to post every top speed that you got, and don't forget to write down on what speed you changed your gear. First from me :
1st : 0-40 kmph
2nd : 40-70 kmph
3rd : 70-110 kmph
4th : 110kmph--- well I'm afraid to go any faster... you know how crowded and how bad Indonesian road :D

W H A T ?????????????????????????

175kmph? yup, you have stated before that malaysian version got different front/rear gear ratio... and also got speedometer 'error'... well not error maybe, but some compensation for safety :D

why don't you try to read 'real' speed by GPS?

Btw, i'm using Motul 5100 15w-50 here.. 10w-40 not too good with this tropical environment, makes engine get hot quicker :(

msian version ratio (sprocket) is 15-39..
how bout indonesian bike??

i guess it's using the same ratio..
maybe msian distributor (HLY) hv done some modification on gear speedometer n speedometer...

my longest ride is only 70km++..
that's why im using 10w 40...

same 15-39 here, with chain 428

I ride 50km average... but with this crazy traffic jam, crazy sun heat and air temp... 10w-40 will make engine sound so noisy :(, and when the engine get hot, my bike can't run more than 80kmph :(, well it happened when I use Motul 5100 10w-40.. never try other 10w-40, maybe Petronas Sprinta 5000 will give better result

Never see, but hear? everyday :D When get stuck on traffic jam, I feel a little smooth vibration on my hand... and yes, the fan is spinning. And if I move aside and stop my bike at less noisy place, I can hear the fan spinning.. stop for a while and spinning again like one on car do. Maybe your fan spins but you don't know yet. The easiest way is to put a led/lamp on your fan power wire, maybe you can connect that to the lamp on your dashboard (the one that show Yamaha small logo), so when your fan spin, the lamp will turn on. But don't forget to put a resistor to prevent overvoltage to that little lamp :D

FYI, fan radiator will start spinning if your engine get hot at 80 degree celcius.

in Philippines,

so far 1 got 115kph
my odometer reading is still 1400km

some say it will go as fast as 120kph when your odo is already 5000km plus.

in philippines some say that Sniper speedometer have +10km with the correct speedo..

are you really sure its 175kph?
are you using stock tire?

as i stated before..
msian distributor (Hong Leong Yamaha) do some modification on speedometer or speedometer gear...
that's why the bike easy to reach 175-180km/h...

traxxas...
yup..
stock tire..
F -70/90 Vee Rubber

medich,

as stroker is saying, why did Hong leong modified speedo gear?
so does that mean all T135 in malaysia have this speedos modified,
and yamaha allowed it?

arent you guys complain about it? because its misleading...

wow youve reached 110kph on 3rd gear,
Im using Hand clutch t135 Sniper Philippines and heres my max...

1st gear = 0-60kph
2nd gear =60-80kph
3rd gear = 80-100kph (FULL THROTTLE)
4th gear =100-115kph (still have throttle left but no more power)

how about other countries using Hand Clutch T135, whats your speed?

Singapore fellas are getting between 120kph to a max of 140kph out of a stocker. Those with racing CDIs have recorded in excess of 160kph.

The bikes there too have a +10kph reading.

Cheers

Most of M'sian citizen..
when they want to buy a bike.. especially moped
1st priority is speed...

maybe bcoz of that.. HLY (Hong Leong) make a little adjustment on speedometer..

too bad..
Hong Leong Yamaha didnt sell clutch version..

rumours says..
next year HLY will launch clutch version with rear disk brake..

WOW! Serious?? That'll be nice! Cos the rear brake conversion that those guys had been doing, (almost) all ended up in tears.

Clutch conversion can be done easily. So no prob there.. hee. Of course better to have it stock.

didnt know whether it's true or not...

why ended up in tears??
OIC.. After converting to disc brake, most can't manage to get it work prroperly. Either the brake tend to jam up and cause the brake rotor to turn red during riding, or it doesn't work at all (brake not effective).

Hence I'll actually advise against rear brake conversion. I believe there ARE ppl who managed to get it to work properly. But far and few. Considering the parts/ labour/ costs involved, not quite worth it..

Just my $0.002 though.
PS: Racing Boy has got a set of rear disc conversion brake kit now, for the stock rearsets.. Heard they're not bad. But expensive and can only be used on stock rearsets are the disadvantage.

Too bad, Yamaha Indonesia have commitment not to launch any bike with rear disc brake :( with safety reason (afraid to get brake lock) So here we add the rear disc brake with 3rd party stuffs, but clutch version is already here.

Jupiter MX have 10% compensation of speed. Means that you read 110 kmph on speedo, it is 100 kmph actually. Of course, it all because of safety reason :D

Philippines and Indonesia have the same specs.
+10 also with philippines.

and with malaysia, i think what Hong leong did to t135 is not good.
if the correct speed 100kph and malaysian t135 is 180kph, then
that means, even if you just walk together with the motorcycle,
the speed registers to around 30kph? :)

how about with singapore, thailand and vietnam..
do they have correct speedos?

dear All..

I've reached in speed of 150 but still not full throttle..
nazrulldiya, if there are other motorcycles in your side,
in your 135LC it registers 150kph, whats the speed with other bike beside you?
